Collaborative Research Centre - SFB TR5 Chromatin -

SFB TR5 is a Collaborative Research Centre (CRC), funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), in which 14 teams situated  in Munich explore basic principles of Chromatin structure, gene regulation and nuclear architecture under the main topic:

'Chromatin – Assembly and Inheritance of Functional States'

Eleven of the 14 CRC groups are situated in the Ludwig-Maximilian University (Faculties of Medicine, Biology and Chemistry) and three groups are based at the Helmholtz Zentrum München, a non-university institute funded by the government. Many of the groups have a long-standing record of cooperation, either within the framework of the CRC or within other joint programs in Munich.
